[00:35] Anna Ormiston: Hey, everyone. Anna Ormiston. I lead customer success and operations here at Green Security. I've been in healthcare really my entire career, but have spent the majority of it helping hospitals with service management, whether that's contracts or contractors actually coming in the doors of your hospital. Nice to talk to everyone this afternoon. Kordell, I'll let you introduce yourself now.
[01:02] Kordell Strauss: My name is Kordell Strauss, Regional VP of Sales. I've been with Green Security for the last five years. Prior to that I was on the medical device vendor side. So altogether, nearly the last decade within healthcare. It's been really exciting to see the growth and development and the technology journey that Green Security has been on for the last decade-plus, from being a customer previously to now being on the Green Security side. It's really cool.
[01:35] Anna Ormiston: So Kordell, we have so much to cover today. We had a ton of new releases this summer. Instead of a million different emails, we wanted to have just 30 minutes to walk through everything that's changed and all the new and exciting updates we've had at Green Security.
But before we jump into the individual items and releases, I want to take a second to talk through what is driving all this change, and what our mission and values are that we take into every new release that we think through.
Green Security is all about improving the safety of everybody who is on site at a facility. Whether that's the hospital staff, the patients, the visitors, but also the vendors themselves. There's so many people coming in the doors. We want to make it as safe an environment as possible.
We want to look at how we can decrease the cost for our healthcare customers. There's a lot of staff and labor costs in managing a vendor credentialing program and managing value analysis. So everything we're thinking through is, how do we take manual work off a hospital staff's plate?
And that leads to us standardizing vendor ops across the platform. Whether that's a vendor coming through the door, a vendor submitting a product for consideration, or a vendor getting on the case and making sure they have the right products to support that patient.
[03:06] Kordell Strauss: Yeah, so we've got a packed agenda today. We'll be covering quite a bit of information. We're going very deep into our Smart Badge rollout. Our model has always been a paperless model, but now with the evolution of smart badges, we see a true path where we can eliminate kiosk usage nearly entirely. We'll walk through the Compliance Hub, which has been newly launched for Smart Badge clients.
In addition, we'll be discussing expanded opportunities for compliance, such as temporary vendors like subcontractors, in addition to clinical students. Our model has been around the enterprise safety solution: screen, track, and manage all non-employees. We've continued to grow within that direction, incorporating those additional levels of scope as Joint Commission and CMS guidelines continue to evolve. We've been able to really support our customer base through that.
We'll also talk through some major announcements. We've had some significant partnership alliances along with acquisitions that have taken place over the last 12 months and also recently. And also finally, some limited-time offers as we approach the end of the year.
We definitely want to help answer any questions, so as you have questions, feel free to place them in the chat. With time, we'll be able to either answer them or definitely follow up after the webinar.
[04:40] Anna Ormiston: Thanks. So one of the things I'm most excited about, and probably one of our biggest releases this summer, is the release of our new Smart Badge.
We put a lot of thought into this badge. We wanted to make the check-in and check-out experience better for both the vendor rep themselves and the hospital users. You'll hear vendor reps who have really good intentions of trying to check in, but they can't find the kiosk, or maybe the kiosk is down, or the printer's not working. So then they had to go find someone, a staff member, who has to stop what they're doing to help check in that vendor.
The Smart Badge was designed to really provide some additional seamless check-in options for the rep. And with that, the hospital should see improved check-ins and compliance numbers as well.
Before we released this out to the broader public in July, we ran a couple of different pilots. Pilot A was a customer of ours who had really high compliance out of the gate. They started with just turning on mobile check-in and testing this out with about 75 of their vendor rep population.
Pilot B is a customer that was struggling to get reps to check in consistently, and sent out the Smart Badge to about 50 of their vendor reps. You can see side by side some of the great changes, particularly on Pilot B, that we saw with the increased visibility of the Smart Badge.
Pilot B had gateways and mobile check-in turned on, and you'll see that they have a six-times increase in check-ins per day across the board for their vendor rep population. They went from 116 average scan-ins to almost 300. And they actually saw an increased failed scan rate, which is a good thing, because that just means that vendors were checking in and trying to use the program correctly, they just weren't quite finished and fully credentialed themselves.
So this is one of the huge opportunities and advantages that we hope all of our vendor rep population and the health systems combined can take advantage of and see with our new Smart Badge technology.
[06:54] Anna Ormiston: We've had a lot of questions from customers on: how do I get this in my reps' hands? What do I need to do?
If you don't do anything, your reps will start getting the Smart Badge upon the renewal date of their Green Security subscription. Which means that these badges should be showing up on site at your locations, but it should be kind of trickling in.
If you really want to see that huge bump in compliance and that data visibility, we recommend the reps get this new badge sooner rather than later. So if you want your entire vendor rep population to be standardized on this badge now, all you have to do is just let your customer success manager know. It's something that we can turn on on our side in seconds. We'll help communicate to your vendor rep population so they're aware and have plenty of heads-up that this is coming, so they can come in and make the appropriate updates on their account.
And when you turn this on for a customer, you're actually going to get a couple of added advantages at no cost. One is this Compliance Hub with a compliance agent that Kordell is going to show here in a minute. That's really cool. Once you get that data rolling in there, you'll be able to see the fun things you can do with it.
But the other thing that will be an advantage also to your vendors is adding gateways, or what we're calling a touchless kiosk or mini kiosk. They are about the size of a Wi-Fi router and you can put them anywhere within your organization. When a vendor rep walks in the door with that Green Security Smart Badge, it's going to enable that touchless check-in. It'll automatically check them in and then turn their badge on accordingly based on their credentialing status.
So we want to make sure everyone can add these devices to their organization if they want. If you decide to ask your vendor reps to get the Smart Badge this year, we are offering free gateways. We will give three gateways per acute care site with 500 beds or more, and one gateway for acute care sites with less than 500 beds.
For vendors, if they opt in to get their Smart Badge now versus waiting until their subscription renews next year, we will be giving away a free day pass for expedited credentials. Should be really helpful and exciting, particularly during flu season. I know we're all starting to get our flu shot and need to get those flu credentials up. We wanted to add something there for the vendors as well as an added value for the Smart Badge technology.
[09:38] Kordell Strauss: Yeah, I personally think the smart badges are incredible. I mean, when you start looking at wayfinding for vendor reps, being able to maneuver around the hospital, it just creates a frictionless experience rather than hunting for a kiosk.
Rather than run through this on a slide, I'm just going to move over to the Compliance Hub. The Compliance Hub is one of the really unique features that Green Security developed over the last several months. This is an elevated view from our administrative dashboard or system dashboard that many health systems are familiar with. But this is providing a pretty high-level snapshot dashboard of reps on site, total sign-ins for that specific day, denied sign-ins. It gives you the ability to jump to a specific rep.
From there, you can actually see when they signed in, whether they crossed through on a gateway or signed in through the mobile check-in, what was expired for the vendor rep, what they were missing on their profile. It gives you the rep's contact information, some high-level stats of how many visits they've had at your specific facility. In addition, you can also jump into the company profile to see other additional information, maybe all the reps that are associated with that company for your specific facility.
Another area of really good value here is going to be around the policies. Providing a synopsis of what the policy is, the areas of what the credentialing requirements are, and being able to jump into each of these, so if you needed to see the description, even break it down by level, and then lastly any company credentials. If you need to segue back to the system dashboard, there's links to take you back to that specific area.
The area that I think has been most exciting for me, because previously, as I started with Green Security, we all wore a lot of different hats. One of the questions I would get continuously is: can you run a report and tell me all reps from this company that were on site? I guess you could say a lot of us at Green Security in the early days were the compliance agent.
We've been able to automate this by leveraging AI. We've added some really quick views. Let's say expiring, so this is expiring credentials next 30 days. It tells me the representatives who's already expired. But what's really cool on this dashboard is it gives you the opportunity to export into an Excel file, rather than a staff member trying to look up and see out of all of your Stryker vendors who's expired, or who's expiring, or who's coming up, or who's been on site.
You can query quite a bit of data in this lens. What's really nice on this look and feel of the agent is it's really similar to a lot of the AI tools that we're using today. You'll be able to find the compliance agent down here as well.
I think this is definitely an elevated view, but it gives end users quite a bit more to track their reps and to screen, monitor, and track. This Compliance Hub is a part of what's included for those that are moving toward the Smart Badge. So this is a really strong area to help increase compliance in general.
[12:58] Anna Ormiston: Yeah, I love how that compliance agent really starts putting the data more at your fingertips. I think we're all in this day and age getting used to working with Copilot or Claude or whatever the case may be, where instead of going in and trying to find reports or filter data, you're just asking the question and it's populating automatically. So when you think about that Smart Badge adding the extra data into the Compliance Hub, it makes it all more valuable.
But now I wanted to talk a little bit about some expanded populations and expanded use cases for vendor credentialing that you may not have thought of, or that you may have carved out previously because it didn't really make sense for your organization, or for how you set up your policies to try and capture all these additional vendor reps walking through the door.
Bubbles 2A, 2B, and 3, you guys are super familiar with. We wanted, though, to think through the vendor reps who may not be coming on site very often, who may only be coming on site on an ad hoc basis. Your plumbers, as an example. They don't show up unless something breaks. They're not coming on site all the time. Your contractors, when you have a new building going up. A painter may only be on site for a couple of weeks and then they're done.
We have this quote here, and I know Kordell mentioned it at the kickoff of the webinar. Joint Commission really sees that a vendor, a service contractor, and a contractor are all the same in their mind. It's: are you tracking who's coming on site, and have you checked their credentials to make sure they're fully compliant to be there?
So Level 1 is a brand new offering that we created to allow more flexibility for the vendor population that may not need to be on site very often. We are moving from an annual subscription; Level 1 is a quarterly subscription that a rep can sign up for, which makes a ton more sense if they don't need to be there once they're done with their project. Level 1 gives you much faster access to vendor credentials and gives you a path that's a little bit easier to deal with if you're a rep who only needs to come on site for a couple of days or a couple of weeks during the year.
And then on the other end of the spectrum, something with our Smart Badge technology that we're really excited about plays into your student population. All those students who are coming on site, you really kind of think of them as the same as a non-employee. Have they gotten their flu shot? Have they read the policies and procedures? This is something you could have always put in vendor credentialing. But now with our Smart Badge technology, the ability for a student to get the badge and track their hours based on where they are in the hospital gives you better data, gives the student better data that they can report back to their school when they've done their rounds, that they've met all the requirements.
Both of these are brand new. We're really excited about them and about this opportunity to start reaching out and helping provide some additional coverage for our healthcare customers.
[15:15] Kordell Strauss: So as we shared during the agenda, we've definitely got some major announcements that we wanted to bring together for this webinar. And truly, we couldn't fit this all in an email. Our marketing team tried. This is the reason we wanted to come together for 30 minutes.
First off is around the CLEAR partnership. This exclusive strategic partnership is really going to help elevate vendor credentialing. [audio gap] ...ensuring the person entering your facility is the same individual that completed the credentialing requirements. When vendor representatives register in Green Security, they go through CLEAR identity verification, so the vendor badges can't be casually shared or used by unauthorized individuals.
As I talk to new health systems that are looking at a vendor credentialing partner, they bring this up: reps reusing logins or badges. This identity verification also takes place when the rep signs in through our mobile app, which could be a really unique enhancement. This ID verification during the check-in process, before a Smart Badge is activated, is going to create stronger accountability at the end of the day.
The CLEAR partnership we've been really excited about. We announced it a couple weeks ago. We see a lot of great synergies for the vendor reps. There's no adjustment to subscription cost or anything as it relates to CLEAR. This is just another value-add that we've been able to bring to market.
[17:59] Kordell Strauss: Next, with the OR case readiness. Green Security made a very strategic acquisition in the marketplace and acquired a company called Vincero. I've known of Vincero for several years through shared customers. This was an acquisition that I was really excited about, and we're welcoming the Vincero team to Green Security.
This is bringing together the total ends of vendor operations and intelligence. It's truly a category that we are creating at Green Security, and we've been able to do this now through our integration partners, our acquisitions of value analysis, and now our integration with case scheduling and loaner management.
We see tremendous value in the user, the case scheduler, and the OR being able to interface directly in Epic, in their EMR, scheduling the procedure and the vendor being notified. But also, prior to them even scheduling the procedure, knowing whether that vendor representative is out of compliance and what they're missing.
Then additionally, the vendor representative being notified. Commonly, many health systems are notifying their vendor representatives of cases via text, email, phone call. This is all automated communication, and it's native to Epic.
As well, the loaner tray, just helping ensure that the proper trays are being delivered on site, they're delivered on time, they're within the window. We're really minimizing and supporting minimizing case delays, and also ensuring that no more loaner trays are being brought on site than what should be arriving.
[19:37] Kordell Strauss: Then with the Trip integration. We're almost coming up on the one-year anniversary of our acquisition of our value analysis company, Predicada, now formally Green Security Value Analysis. We've built out this integration with Trip for clinical evidence.
The Trip integration has been significant and it's a value-add to our platform today. So for health systems that are contracting with Green Security for value analysis, this year you're getting the Trip integration as a value-add, and this pulls together the lens of truly evidence-based research. Within Trip, users can search clinical guidelines, systematic reviews, regulatory guidelines, randomized controlled trials.
The Trip integration is fully built into the value analysis module. Users can also go outside of the value analysis module into Trip. Not only do we have the Trip integration, but we still have the integrations with FDA MAUDE reporting and recalls. We still have the integration with Open Payments. And we've expanded the integration into many different ERP systems from the value analysis lens. We continue to build that out as our customer base has grown in such a short amount of time.
This is one of the areas that I think is going to be incredibly valuable. Many health systems are having to go outside of their tool. They may not even have a tool, and they're having to do a lot of independent research through Google and other search engines. So having this built inside of our database, allowing the user to see reporting and clinical evidence with ease of use, has been a great lever for us to utilize.
[21:33] Anna Ormiston: Thanks, Kordell. So I wanted to wrap this up with limited-time offers. I already spent some time here talking about gateways, so I'm not going to spend too much longer on it, but just a reminder: three free gateways for acute care sites, 500 beds or more, one free for fewer than 500 beds. Please get with your customer success manager if you're interested in taking advantage of this.
Plus the compliance agent, plus that vendor free expedited day pass. All a really good deal to take advantage of before the end of the year.
And then something else that is brand new. We've done this throughout our history at Green Security, but we've now made this a formal offering: the on-site compliance audit. We will send out a team of our experts to come to your facilities, really trying to do three things while we're on site.
First is check and make sure all the equipment that you have is up and running and that it's placed in the most optimal way that makes it easy for your organization to manage. Plus, it makes it easy for the vendor reps to find and check in successfully.
We will also set up a registration table. We can set up a table anywhere within your organization, your facility, that will allow both vendors and hospital users on site to just stop by and ask us a question. Vendors can get help if they need it on their accounts, and then our hospital users can get bite-sized trainings on how do you do this in the program, how do you find this.
But then lastly, we'll also do formal on-site training for anybody within your facility that's interested. Three main objectives that we will cover once we come on site, all free of charge, no additional cost from you. Just let your customer success manager know if you're interested in getting that on the schedule.
[23:37] Kordell Strauss: Great. The on-site compliance team build-out, along with the customer success team build-out, has been incredible to see the growth over the last two years. I've done hundreds of compliance audits, but now it's a formalized process. It really speaks to the growth of the team that we've put together and the culture, but it's a great value.
I think one area that really helps is the registration desk. As described, just providing vendor representatives and facility users someone live that they can talk to and work through registration in real time is incredibly valuable.
As you know, when I started with Green Security there was a strong focus around visitor management and vendor credentialing for service reps. But now, as we've expanded out to OR case readiness and value enablement through the value analysis lens, again, vendor operations and intelligence is where we are creating this category.
It creates so much value to the health system. We're having line of sight of the products that are going through submission, what products have been approved, what products are declined, what procedures are actually being scheduled, what representative should be coming on site, and what trays they should be bringing on site. Bring all that together with the Smart Badge, and now we have a 360-degree view of not only the cases, the products, and the people that are supposed to be representing, and being able to communicate to everybody that's a part of that. That's where we see this category being able to grow together.
[25:19] Kordell Strauss: I see that there's a question in the chat about value analysis with clinical evidence. Feel free to reach directly out to myself or our customer service team and we'll be happy to schedule that demo and evaluation of the value analysis and clinical evidence side.
And then lastly, on events that we'll be participating in: we have traveled quite a bit and are going to so many different industry conferences. That might be the biggest understatement that I've had this month. If anyone's attending any of these events, feel free to connect with our team. I'd be happy to network.
Anna, before we wrap up, any closing words?
[26:18] Anna Ormiston: Yeah, I was also keeping an eye on the questions as they came in. I had someone ask about the Compliance Hub and agent. It is included at no charge for activating the Smart Badge for your organization this year. If you're curious, that is about a $24,000 valued product that you would get automatically in your subscription.
And then another question we had on the Compliance Hub is: does it only work with smart badges? And the answer is no. The legacy badges will still maintain that check-in information, like the reps are doing today. But now you just get a more user-friendly interface and better reporting. And like I said, with that agent, it's just so much easier to pop a question in a chat versus trying to hunt around a platform to figure out what you're trying to find, and other insights that maybe you weren't even thinking of.
Those were, I think, all the questions, Kordell. So yeah, we've covered so much today. We appreciate all of you who joined and all of you who are going to listen later to the recording. But the long story short is, lots of exciting changes here at Green Security.
Reach out to your customer success manager, or you can go to our website and fill out the contact form, and Kordell or a member of his team will be following up with you to discuss any of these new offerings. So I think that is it for me.
[27:54] Kordell Strauss: Very nice. Thank you. I truly appreciate everyone's time coming together for this webinar. This was a great opportunity for us to share all the exciting value-adds that we've been able to continue to bring to market. Thank you. Have a great day.
[28:13] Anna Ormiston: Thanks all.
