Privacy Policy

Summary

Welcome to Green Security and thank you for taking time to visit our site. This privacy policy ONLY refers to the Green Security website and does not describe any information or policies to any other sites, including any site that links to www.gogreensecurity.com. If you have any questions, concerns or comments regarding this policy, please email Green Security at support@gogreensecurity.com. This policy describes our practices concerning the collection and use of information, including personal information on our site. Any personal information is information that can identify you and includes but is not limited to your name, email address, other contact information such as phone numbers or your physical address. Green Security cannot control any activity or policy from any other website including websites that we link to.

Account Security

Green Security is designed to allow only the users that have been permitted specific access to view personal information. That is, vendors who sign up for services can only see information regarding their own personal account as well as basic information about the Facilities that they have "targeted". Healthcare Facilities can see personal information that you have entered about yourself if you have targeted that Facility as a "target".

Green Security has implemented high quality security measures that are designed to protect you from wrongful use, changes or alterations or the loss of your personal information. We require a username and password in order to access our site and we secure all of your personal information in an encrypted database that is accessible only to Green Security employees and Healthcare Facility personnel such as hospital employees, physician's office employees, surgery center employees or other medical professionals. Green Security uses reasonable efforts and methods to protect your personal information.

Green Security monitors our website for unauthorized use and we use industry standards to protect your private information. Your data, both sensitive and non-sensitive, is encrypted both in motion and at rest. In spite of all efforts to utilize data encryption, Secure Sockets layer protocol (SSL) and firewalls, there is still the risk of personal information compromise, as is the case with any organization that utilizes industry standards.

Privacy Policy

Green Security requires certain, specific personal information when you register with Green Security. We also collect information from you when you upload documents (also referred to as credentials), when you send us correspondence including facsimiles, emails or when you purchase services through Green Security. There are other areas of our site where we may collect personal information as well. Our website is stored on a secure server. That server may collect and save information that is customarily logged by web server software. This information includes, but is not limited to the time and date, IP address and pages or images.

We do not share your personal information with any third parties except as would be directed specifically by you. There are however, specific exceptions to this. The government could legally force us to disclose personal information under certain circumstances. Additionally, third parties may UNLAWFULLY intercept or access transmissions or communications. We cannot guarantee that your personal information or communications will never be accessed as described by the exceptions. Green Security will protect your personal information through our best efforts and in good faith. Please direct any questions regarding this to support@gogreensecurity.com.

We do not sell information about existing or prior users to any third party. Occasionally, we will need third party vendors to perform services for us. In those cases, we may provide the necessary information for those vendors to carry out their assigned responsibilities as part of the service they provide to us. These third parties will have access to your personal information for purposes of fulfilling their responsibilities and for that purpose only. We cannot control the third parties and their privacy policies.

The purpose of your personal information is to verify your identity, provide you with access to your account, direct services personally to you, collect payment for our services and to identify problems for customer service issues. Additionally, we may develop products and/or services that might be interesting to you.

Cookies: It is general practice to use "cookies" in order to assign a customer ID that identifies your computer when you visit our site. Through "cookies", we are better able to service you on your visit to our site.

The website is intended for users over the age of 13 and any person(s) under age 13 must not use the web site or our services to upload or submit any identifiable information about themselves.

Biometric and Face Data (Photographs)

Some Green Security features collect and use photographs that include facial images ("face data") of vendors and visitors to healthcare facilities. This section explains why we collect face data, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and why. We treat face data as sensitive personal information.

Why we collect and store face data. We collect and store face data solely for identity verification and physical security at the healthcare facilities that use our services:

  • Visitors. A visitor's photograph may be printed on a temporary visitor badge so that facility security personnel can visually confirm the person's identity while they are on the premises. When a visitor badge photograph is furnished to a hospital, that hospital may retain and use it for security purposes in accordance with its own privacy policy.
  • Vendors. A vendor's photograph may be printed on a hard badge issued by Green Security that the vendor uses to gain secure entry to hospital facilities. We store the image so that hospital staff can verify the vendor's identity when the vendor is on site.

We do not use face data for facial-recognition matching, advertising, marketing, profiling, or any purpose other than the identity-verification and security purposes described above.

How long we store face data. We do not store face data indefinitely. Face data is retained only while it is needed for the security purpose for which it was collected, that is, while the associated vendor credential or account, or the associated visitor engagement, remains active. When a vendor credential or account becomes inactive, or the vendor relationship ends, or after a visitor's engagement has concluded, we delete the associated face data within 12 months. We keep the data for this limited period, rather than deleting it immediately, so that it remains available for identity verification throughout the active credential or visit and for a defined window afterward to support security auditing, incident investigation, and dispute resolution. After that period, the face data we hold is permanently deleted. (Any copy of a photograph that has already been furnished to a hospital is thereafter governed by that hospital's own retention and privacy policies.)

Which third parties we share face data with, and why. We do not sell face data, and we do not share it for advertising or marketing. We share face data only in the following cases:

  • The hospital or health system you are entering. We provide face data to the facility to which you are gaining entrance so that the facility's staff and security personnel can verify your identity and manage secure physical access to their premises. This is the core purpose of the service. Once provided to a hospital, the face data is handled under that hospital's own privacy policy.
  • Our cloud hosting provider (Amazon Web Services). Face data is stored using Amazon Web Services (Amazon S3), which acts as our subprocessor and hosts the data on Green Security's behalf under its contractual data-protection obligations. AWS stores and secures the data for us and does not use it for its own purposes.
  • Courts and law enforcement. We may disclose face data when required to do so by a court order, subpoena, or applicable local, state, or federal law, or to cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.

Your choices. You may request access to, or deletion of, the face data we hold about you by contacting Green Security at (866) 750-3373 or support@gogreensecurity.com. Deleting your account, as described elsewhere in this policy, will also remove the face data associated with it, subject to the retention window and legal obligations described above.

As a registered Green Security customer, you are able to log in and modify your personal account information. You can also completely delete your account by contacting Green Security at (866) 750-3373 or sending an email to support@gogreensecurity.com.
